Eli Sadan, the head of Labor's religious and traditional Jewish sector, promoted 'the Israeli Initiative' during a Labor Central Committee Forum which took place on Sunday. Sadan stated that " Israel has to find a solution and I think that the Jordanian option makes the most sense."

Eli Sadan, Labor's head of the religious and traditional Jewish sector, expressed his support for "the Israeli Initiative" during a Labor Central Committee Forum which took place on Sunday. Sadan stated that " Israel has to find a solution and I think the Jordanian option makes the most sense. With all the rocket attacks on Sderot, we need to put on the brakes, and that's what I intend to tell [Labor chairman Ehud] Barak."

Benny Elon, the Israeli lawmaker touting a plan that would extend Israeli sovereignty to the West Bank and encourage Palestinian emigration, met with U.S. lawmakers. Elon toured Washington and met with Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), and U.S. Reps. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.), Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), the minority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives.
